One year i was really bummed out on valentines day. And then my Mom suprised me by putting a big balloon and my favorite cookies in my room while i wasn't in there!! It was SOOOO sweet! 2 years later, i still have the box as a reminder of that special day!

My favorite Valentine memory was about 8 years and was my first Valentines with my now husband. We were at the time living a 3 hour drive away from each other. On one of our many chats on the phone with him, I told him I LOVED Baskin Robbins ice cream but they didn't have one in the college town I lived in. I told him my two favorite flavors. When he came to visit me, for Valentines Day, he had brought with him in his car, a cooler filled with ice and a quart of Peanut Butter and Chocolate and a quart of Mint Chocolate Chip. That was one of many times I knew he was "the one." :)

The only valentine's I've ever had were back in elementary.

But two years ago I got the best Valentine's day gift ever: a pink ipod nano from my mother. It was extremely sweet of her because my family doesn't have a lot of money, but she went out of her way to make that year pleasant for me.

One year my husband and I were in Verona Italy, on V-day. We strolled the cobblestone streets and it was so romantic....till we got to the statue of Juliet under the famous balcony from Romeo and Juliet. There's some tradition that you rub the statue for luck and everyone had rubbed the breast of the statue till one patch was shiny. It was gross and NOT romantic! But it was funny how horrified I was too.

It was in high school and i didn't expect anyone to get me anything for valentine's day. Lo and behold, my friend appeared with a red and white rose for me! Definitely touched my heart.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Cheers,
Melody

Well I am Very excited this year for Valentine's Day because my close friend from middle school is getting married this year ON VDAY!! I have her gifts, one is being made right now..and I can't wait to see her and the old friends as well!

I recently found out the guy i dig is 'in love with someone else' so...while I was really sad for awhile, I am going to turn it around by gearing all my energy into happiness for my friend :)

Might I add...this is biggest Vday plan i have ever had! And many props to my Mom and my friend Nada who i also shared Vday with years past and each memory was love-ly

I <3 you all and keep the stories comging!!

My favorite valentine was one year when I had to work at the coffee shop on V day. I was single at the time but it was still the best ever, as all my favorite customers (from age 2 1/2 to 70) came in and brought me stickers, cards, and treats. I felt so incredibly loved and lucky.

One year my husband was on cruise, (he is in the Navy)my best friend and my two year old boy and I were the only ones in the house. To celebrate Valentines Day we curled up on the couch ate Ben and Jerry's and watched Big Fat Greek Wedding! (My boy was asleep.) It was a fun celebration because you do not need romantic love to know you are loved!

BTW I bought those earrings for my best friend's birthday!!

When I would come downstairs on Valentine's day, I would have candy & presents waiting for me on the kitchen table (from my Mom; duh). She is so cute; she celebrates every holiday with decorations and usually presents. Even when I have not lived at home, she still had presents & chocolate for me. This year, she sent me a card with some coupons for razors and dog food. Guess I really am an adult now. Luckily, my boyfriend got me some beautiful turquoise dishes that he knew I loved. We wanted to go to the arboretum down the street, but the weather was poopy. We saw "Confessions of a Shopaholic" because he's a great boyfriend and always suggests movies he assumes I want to see (I don't really recommend it though; not that great. I adore Isla Fisher though), and we ate WAY too much awesome food at a sushi restaurant. It's good to know that holidays aren't going to suck just because I'm 23 and not considered a "kid" anymore.
